The Queen’s Film Theatre, or QFT for short, opened in 1968 and is an art house cinema with two medium sized screens and luxury French seating. It is the largest cultural cinema in Ireland.

In 2004, the cinema underwent major renovation and has a new entrance via University Square, overlooking Queen’s University – the owners of the cinema. New facilities include a modern and bright bar and lounge, where you can enjoy a drink and a chat before the film.
