The Welcome Chinese restaurant in Stranmillis opened in 1982 and is recommended by the Egon Ronay guide. The food is  of a very high standard and the menu features a good selection of seafood – the steamed Dover Sole is very good as is the Duck Soo Chow.

The restaurant is popular so it’s a good idea to book a table, especially at weekends. Prices are slightly higher than most chinese restaurants – but given the quality of cooking, it’s actually good value for more.  Two courses with wine costs around £30.00 per person.
